AMC to Premiere ‘The Audacity’ in 21 Parts on TikTok
AMC is shifting its promotional strategy for the upcoming Silicon Valley-themed comedy The Audacity, opting to debut the show’s premiere in a serialized format on TikTok. Starting Sunday morning, the network will roll out the pilot episode across 21 individual segments.

Each video clip will run for approximately three minutes, numbered sequentially to allow viewers to watch the full episode if they choose to follow the series’ social media feed. This unconventional rollout aims to capture the attention of younger demographics for what the network’s chief marketing officer has designated as its most significant launch this year.
A New Approach to Series Promotion
While networks frequently use YouTube to host full episodes as a promotional tool, AMC’s decision to fragment a premiere on a short-form platform like TikTok marks a distinct departure from standard industry practices. The strategy has drawn comparisons to the short-form content model popularized by the defunct streaming service Quibi.
The series, which centers on the dark side of modern technology, features:
- Creator: Jonathan Glatzer
- Lead Cast: Billy Magnussen and Sarah Goldberg
Although the show satirizes the tech industry, the production does not focus on real-world executives or specific existing companies, opting instead for a fictionalized exploration of current digital issues.
Alternative Viewing Options
For viewers who prefer not to watch the series in three-minute increments, AMC is providing traditional access points. The full premiere will be available simultaneously on the AMC network and its dedicated streaming platform, AMC+. Additionally, the episode will be broadcast via Samsung TV Plus, the manufacturer’s free ad-supported streaming television service.
