Amazon Launches Thinner Fire TV Stick and Ember Artline TVs

Amazon is expanding its hardware portfolio with the launch of a redesigned, ultra-slim Fire TV Stick HD and the opening of preorders for its aesthetic-focused Ember Artline television series. Both products integrate the company’s latest AI-driven software enhancements.

New Fire TV Stick HD: Performance and Accessibility

The latest iteration of the Fire TV Stick HD consolidates Amazon’s entry-level streaming lineup by replacing the previous Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite models. The new device is 30% slimmer than its predecessor and promises a 30% increase in speed, resulting in faster application loading times. Connectivity has also been upgraded to include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

Amazon is focusing on inclusivity with the upcoming “Adaptive Display” setting. Launching in the coming months, this feature optimizes the user interface by scaling up text, menus, and artwork for better navigation. Furthermore, the device leverages Alexa+, the company’s AI assistant, allowing users in the U.S., U.K., and Canada to manage smart home devices and discover content through natural language voice commands.

Priced at $34.99, the device is available for preorder now and is scheduled to ship on April 29 to customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Ember Artline: Design-Centric Televisions

Targeting the premium aesthetic market, the Ember Artline series—first unveiled at CES 2026—is now available for preorder. These 4K QLED televisions feature a 1.5-inch profile and support both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The line emphasizes customization and smart art integration through several key features:

• Magnetic Frames: Ten finish options including Walnut, Ash, Teak, Black Oak, Matte White, Midnight Blue, Fig, Pale Gold, Graphite, and Silver.
• Match the Room AI: An intelligent tool that suggests artwork based on the room’s decor.
• Content Library: Access to over 2,000 free art pieces, with the ability to sync personal images via Amazon Photos.

The Ember Artline TVs are available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, starting at $899.99. Shipments for the U.S. and Canada are set to begin on April 22, with releases in the U.K. and Germany to follow. Additionally, Amazon is introducing a cross-device content transfer feature for U.S. users, allowing them to move shows or games between Fire TV devices via voice command, beginning with Prime Video.
