Rebel Audio Launches AI-Powered Podcast Platform

Rebel Audio is set to enter the public market on May 30, offering a comprehensive platform designed to streamline the podcasting lifecycle for beginners and early-stage creators. The startup recently closed an oversubscribed $3.8 million seed round, signaling strong investor confidence in its mission to simplify audio production.

The platform aims to eliminate the technical friction typically associated with starting a show. By consolidating recording, editing, cover art generation, transcriptions, and social media clipping into a single interface, Rebel Audio targets a market that Riverside estimates reached over 584 million listeners in 2025.

Core Features and AI Integration

Artificial intelligence is central to the platform’s workflow. Users can leverage an AI assistant to brainstorm show concepts, titles, and descriptions, or generate cover art. Additionally, the toolset includes:

  • AI-powered transcription and translation.
  • Dubbing capabilities for international reach.
  • Voice cloning specifically for ad reads.

To mitigate industry concerns regarding “AI slop” and deepfakes, the company has implemented strict guardrails. Voice cloning is strictly an opt-in feature requiring proof of rights, and the image generation tools utilize moderation systems to prevent the creation of non-compliant content.

Monetization and Pricing

Rebel Audio integrates revenue generation directly into the creator experience. Users can access dynamic ad insertion, brand partnerships, and listener subscriptions from the start. The platform offers three distinct tiers:

  • Basic ($15/month): Includes AI production assistance, hosting, and distribution.
  • Plus ($35/month): Adds video hosting and voice cloning for ad reads.
  • Pro ($70/month): Unlocks dynamic ad insertion, subscriptions, translation, and dubbing.

The company, which developed its technology in partnership with Lattice Partners, is backed by experienced industry leadership. Founder Jared Gutstadt, known for his work with Audio Up, plans to migrate that company’s catalog—featuring talent like Machine Gun Kelly and Anthony Anderson—onto the new platform. Additionally, television producer Mark Burnett has joined as an advisor to the team.
