Lenovo is preparing to expand its footprint in the portable PC gaming market with a new device, the Legion Go S. Recent leaks have provided the first look at the hardware, which appears to shift away from the modular design of its predecessor in favor of a more compact, integrated aesthetic.

The upcoming console, as reported by Windows Central, signals a return to basics for the manufacturer. While the original Legion Go featured detachable controllers and a built-in kickstand, the Legion Go S adopts a fixed form factor. The design bears a striking resemblance to the Asus ROG Ally series, prioritizing a streamlined build over the versatility of modular parts.

Key Design Changes and Expected Specs

In this new iteration, Lenovo has removed several signature features found in the first Legion Go, including:

Despite the simplified layout, the device retains a small nub on the right side, which is expected to function as a mouse controller.
