Skye App Raises $3.58M to Turn iPhone Widgets Into AI Agents

Skye, a startup currently in private testing, is preparing to introduce an “agentic homescreen” for the iPhone. The project aims to shift how users interact with artificial intelligence by replacing traditional chatbot interfaces with dynamic, context-aware iOS widgets.

The company behind the app, Signull Labs, has already secured over $3.58 million in pre-seed funding. According to SEC filings and data from PitchBook, the round closed in September 2025, bringing the New York-based startup to a post-money valuation of $19.5 million.

The product, developed by a team led by Nirav Savjani—who operates under the pseudonym “signüll”—has generated significant buzz despite not yet having a public launch. Savjani, a former employee at Google and Meta, claims the project has attracted “tens of thousands” of sign-ups to its waitlist.

Redefining the iPhone Interface

Instead of requiring users to open a dedicated application or initiate a conversation with a chatbot, Skye leverages the native iOS widget ecosystem. The goal is to provide ambient intelligence directly on the home screen. According to details shared by the creator on X, the app’s capabilities include:

• Drafting email responses and assisting with meeting preparation.
• Managing reminders and monitoring bank accounts for suspicious transactions.
• Offering location-specific recommendations for nearby businesses and attractions.

Functionality is powered by data accessed through user-authorized connections. While the app is still in development, the strong reception suggests a growing consumer demand for more integrated, AI-aware smartphone experiences, potentially signaling a shift in how users might engage with future hardware, including rumored AI-focused mobile devices.

Investor Interest and Future Outlook

The startup’s early backing includes notable industry names such as a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), True Ventures, and SV Angel. Additionally, Offline Ventures identifies Signull Labs as part of its investment portfolio.

Savjani has been vocal about the project’s progress on social media and through podcast appearances, though he has maintained a focus on his pseudonymity. While SEC documents identify him as the founder, he has continued to build in public while preparing the platform for its initial release.

Skye is expected to roll out to its waitlist in the near future, though the founder has not provided a specific launch date.
