A new iOS application called Gigs launches this week with the goal of transforming those scattered digital fragments into a structured, personal archive using Apple’s on-device AI.
Developed by indie creators Hidde van der Ploeg and Pol Piella, the tool simplifies the process of cataloging past performances. Instead of manual data entry, users can import screenshots, emails, digital tickets, or website links. The app leverages Apple’s Foundation Models to automatically parse relevant details, such as venues, artist lineups, and event dates.
For power users who have already logged their concert attendance on platforms like Concert Archives or Setlist.fm, Gigs offers an automated migration path. By linking these accounts, users can import years of festival and tour data instantly.
Features and Integration
Beyond simple logging, the app acts as a hub for the live music experience. Once a show is added, users can:

- Access setlist predictions and artist insights.
- Receive reminders for upcoming ticket sales.
- Rate performances and upload event-specific media after the show ends.
The developer, Hidde van der Ploeg, brings experience from previous music-focused projects like the AI-powered playlist tool Petey and the music discovery app NowPlaying. With Gigs, the goal was to provide a dedicated space for fans to maintain a historical record of their concert-going journey.

The app includes a stats dashboard that visualizes habits, highlighting metrics such as most-visited venues, favorite cities, and artists seen most frequently. To keep users engaged, it also tracks milestones, such as reaching a 10-show or 1,000-show threshold.
Designed for iOS 26, the app incorporates a “Liquid Glass” aesthetic and deep system integration. Users can utilize Home Screen widgets to countdown to events, while Siri support allows for hands-free tasks, such as checking ticket details or rating a show. Furthermore, all concerts are indexed via Apple’s Spotlight, ensuring the data remains searchable across the entire device.
Gigs is available as a free download. Premium features—including data export, advanced insights, and unlimited photo storage—are available for $2.99 per month or $19.99 annually. A bundled subscription option with the NowPlaying app is also offered.
