CONTEUDO:
Snapchat is introducing a new way for content creators to generate revenue directly from their audience. Starting February 23, the social platform is launching a creator subscription model in alpha, initially available to a select group of users within the United States.

This initiative aims to deepen the relationship between influencers and their followers by providing a premium tier of engagement. Early participants in the program include creators such as Jeremiah Brown, Harry Jowsey, and Skai Jackson.
Monetization and Exclusive Perks
Through this new feature, creators gain the flexibility to set their own monthly pricing structures, with guidance from Snap regarding recommended tiers. Subscribers who opt into these paid plans receive several distinct benefits:
- Access to exclusive, subscriber-only content.
- Priority visibility for replies on a creator’s public Stories.
- An ad-free viewing experience for that creator’s Stories.
According to the company, this addition serves as a complement to existing financial tools like the Snap Star Collab Studio and the Unified Monetization Program. The goal is to integrate these premium connections seamlessly into the interactions users already have with creators via Chat and Stories.
Growth and Global Expansion
The rollout arrives as Snapchat continues to scale its user base, reporting 946 million monthly active users in its Q4 2025 earnings report. The platform has seen significant engagement growth, particularly in the U.S., where Spotlight posts increased by more than 47% year-over-year.
Following the initial U.S. alpha phase, Snap intends to broaden the program’s reach. In the coming weeks, the subscription service is scheduled to expand to Snap Stars located in the U.K., Canada, and France. This move aligns Snapchat more closely with competitors like Meta, which already offers subscription features with exclusive badges and content on Instagram and Facebook.
