The feature displays key profile metadata, including the account’s original join date, the number of times the username has been changed, the user’s base location, and the source of their app download, such as the U.S. App Store or Google Play. These transparency measures aim to help users verify the authenticity of accounts and distinguish real individuals from automated bad actors or misinformation campaigns.

How to Access and Manage Your Data

Users can view these details by clicking on the “Joined” date found on any profile within the web or mobile application. The company is providing a degree of control over this information, allowing users to navigate to “Privacy and Safety” settings to choose whether to display their specific country or a broader geographical region. By default, the country is displayed, though users have the flexibility to adjust this preference.
