Razer Unveils Project Arielle: A Chair That Heats and Cools
Razer is utilizing CES 2025 to gauge consumer appetite for a high-end gaming chair that prioritizes climate control. Dubbed Project Arielle, the prototype integrates advanced thermal technology into the frame of the company’s existing Razer Fujin Pro mesh chair.

Thermal Technology and Controls
The concept introduces a dual-action system designed to manage body temperature during extended gaming sessions. Key technical features include:
- Heating System: A self-regulating PTC heater capable of reaching temperatures up to 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cooling System: A bladeless fan mechanism that circulates air directly through the chair’s mesh backing.
- Interface: Users manage these thermal settings via a dedicated touch panel integrated into the chair’s armrest or frame.
Market Viability and Pricing
As of now, Project Arielle remains strictly in the concept phase. Razer is using the Las Vegas event to determine if there is enough market demand to justify a commercial release. While the company has not provided a potential price point, the existing Fujin Pro model retails for over $1,000, suggesting that any future production version of Arielle would likely occupy the premium segment of the gaming peripheral market.
There is currently no official timeline for a retail launch. Whether the project moves beyond the prototype stage depends largely on the feedback collected throughout the CES week.
