Amazon Music Adds Concert Listings via Bandsintown Pact
Amazon Music is expanding its feature set by integrating live event listings directly into its streaming interface. Through a new partnership with the concert discovery platform Bandsintown, the service aims to centralize how listeners track their favorite performers’ touring schedules.

The integration utilizes the Bandsintown for Artists tool, allowing users to view upcoming tour dates directly on an artist’s Amazon Music profile page. Fans can click through to purchase tickets via Bandsintown, provided the artists have linked their profiles on the platform to enable event synchronization. Additionally, the service will automatically pull event data from promoters, venues, and festivals currently utilizing Bandsintown Pro.
Deepening the Fan Experience
Karolina Joynathsing, director of Business Development at Amazon Music, emphasized that live performances remain a critical touchpoint for artist-fan relationships. “We’re thrilled to team up with Bandsintown, so fans can now discover upcoming shows from the artists they love on Amazon Music, alongside streaming their music, catching exclusive livestreams, shopping merch, and more, all in one place,” Joynathsing stated.
The rollout is currently underway, with full availability for both iOS and Android users expected by this spring. This move marks a continued collaboration between the two companies, which previously partnered in 2023 to facilitate merchandise sales within the Amazon Music app.
Market Context
Amazon Music’s entry into concert discovery follows similar moves by competitors within the crowded streaming sector:
- Spotify: Has integrated live event discovery features for several years.
- Apple Music: Formed partnerships with Ticketmaster and Bandsintown in March to power its live event capabilities.
- SoundCloud: Collaborated with Ticketmaster last year to bring event listings to its platform.
Bandsintown currently reports a network of over 700,000 artists and more than 65,000 festivals and venues using its professional marketing tools. While the company claims over 100 million registered users, it has not disclosed specific figures regarding its current base of active monthly users.
