Amazon Alexa+ Adds Angi, Expedia, Square and Yelp for 2026
Amazon is broadening the capabilities of its AI-powered digital assistant, Alexa+, by incorporating four major service platforms into its ecosystem. Starting in 2026, users will be able to interface directly with Angi, Expedia, Square, and Yelp through the assistant.
This expansion aims to simplify daily tasks by centralizing service management. With these updates, the assistant will facilitate functions such as scheduling salon appointments, obtaining quotes for home improvement projects, and managing hotel travel plans. For instance, an Expedia integration will allow users to request personalized hotel recommendations, such as asking for pet-friendly accommodations in a specific city for an upcoming weekend.
Expanding the Alexa+ Ecosystem
The new partnerships complement a growing list of existing integrations already available to users, including:
- Fodor’s
- OpenTable
- Suno
- Ticketmaster
- Thumbtack
- Uber
Amazon is positioning Alexa+ as a conversational interface where users can refine requests through natural language back-and-forth, similar to how other AI chatbots are currently integrating third-party applications. While the company has not disclosed full adoption metrics, it noted that early engagement with existing personal and home service providers like Thumbtack and Vagaro has been “strong.”
Shifting Consumer Behavior
The industry-wide move toward AI-driven app platforms represents a significant shift from traditional web or mobile app usage. For this model to succeed, AI providers must ensure that the user experience is at least as intuitive as existing methods. Success will likely depend on the ability of these assistants to offer a broad range of services while providing timely, relevant suggestions without appearing intrusive or advertisement-heavy.
