Amazon Luna Overhaul Adds Mobile-Friendly Party Games
Amazon has officially rolled out a significant redesign for its cloud gaming platform, Luna, introducing a suite of accessible multiplayer titles that turn smartphones into primary controllers. The update, announced on Thursday, aims to position the service as a centerpiece for social gatherings.
At the heart of this refresh is the new “GameNight” feature, which brings over 25 local multiplayer games to Prime members at no additional cost. According to the company, these titles are specifically curated to simplify the gaming experience for groups of friends and family.
Expanding the GameNight Library
Amazon is leveraging its own development resources to headline the new collection. The lineup includes an exclusive AI-driven improv title titled “Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg,” where participants must craft stories and defend testimonies before a virtual version of the rapper acting as a judge.
The GameNight catalog also incorporates a variety of well-known titles, including:

“GameNight takes even further the idea of easy access that’s core to the new Luna, delivering a collection of incredibly fun and approachable games that absolutely shine when played together with friends and family,” said Jeff Gattis, general manager of Amazon Luna, in a press release. He emphasized that the platform is designed to be inclusive, allowing anyone with a smartphone to participate regardless of their previous gaming experience.
Broader Updates and Premium Subscriptions
Beyond the casual party games, the revamped service continues to support high-end gaming. Users can now access major releases such as “Hogwarts Legacy,” “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” “Kingdom Come: Deliverance II,” and “TopSpin 2K25.” Unlike the mobile-integrated GameNight titles, these games require a traditional controller, keyboard, or mouse.
For players seeking a deeper library, the company has rebranded its subscription tier. Formerly known as Luna+, “Luna Premium” is now available for $9.99 per month.
