Apple Reveals 2025 App Store Award Winners
Apple has officially unveiled its annual App Store Award winners for 2025, highlighting a shift toward artificial intelligence as a core utility across its software ecosystem. While the tech giant steered clear of naming a standalone chatbot as its top application, AI-powered tools dominated the winner’s circle this year.
The iPhone App of the Year title went to Tiimo, a visual planner that leverages AI to transform to-do lists into structured timelines. By calculating the estimated duration of individual tasks, the app assists users in building realistic daily schedules.

AI Integration Across Platforms
The trend continues on iPad, where Detail secured the top spot. Its “Auto Edit” feature automates complex video production tasks, including removing silence, executing zoom cuts, and generating captions.

Other winners also leaned into machine learning capabilities. Strava, the Apple Watch App of the Year, utilizes an AI assistant to convert raw workout data into actionable performance insights. Similarly, the “Cultural Impact” category recognized StoryGraph for its machine-learning-based book recommendations and Be My Eyes for its AI-driven visual descriptions designed to assist the blind and low-vision communities.
