Honor Magic V6 Debuts With Record Battery and Slim Design
Ahead of this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Honor has unveiled its latest foldable flagship, the Magic V6. The device arrives with a focus on extreme thinness and a significant leap in battery capacity, setting a new benchmark for the company’s hardware engineering.
Refining the Foldable Form Factor
Honor continues its pursuit of the thinnest foldable profile on the market. The Magic V6 measures just 4 mm when unfolded and 8.75 mm when closed. While these dimensions represent a marginal reduction from the Magic V5—which measured 4.1 mm and 8.8 mm, respectively—the refinements underscore the brand’s commitment to portability.
Durability remains a core focus, with the introduction of a new “Super Steel Hinge.” Honor reports the component boasts a tensile strength of 2,800 MPa. Additionally, the manufacturer claims a 44% reduction in crease depth, aiming to provide a more seamless visual experience on the 7.95-inch main AMOLED display, which features a resolution of 2352 x 2172 pixels.
Advanced Power and Display Specs
The standout feature of the Magic V6 is its 6,600 mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the 5,820 mAh capacity found in its predecessor. The device supports 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Honor also teased future potential, showcasing new silicon-carbon battery technology with 32% silicon density that could eventually push capacities beyond 7,000 mAh.

Hardware and Cross-Platform Integration
Under the hood, the Magic V6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The camera array consists of a 50-megapixel main lens (f/1.6), a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor (f/2.5), and a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2). Dual 20-megapixel cameras (f/2.2) are housed on the front for selfies.
Perhaps most unexpectedly, Honor is introducing features designed to bridge the gap between its Android foldable and the Apple ecosystem. The Magic V6 supports two-way notification syncing with iPhones and can push alerts directly to an Apple Watch. Furthermore, users can transfer files to Macs with a single tap or utilize the foldable as an extended display for Apple computers.
While Honor has yet to disclose specific pricing, the company confirmed that the Magic V6 is scheduled for a rollout in select international markets during the second half of the year.
