IShowSpeed Sued After Allegedly Destroying Viral Rizzbot

Social Robotics, the creator of the viral humanoid influencer Rizzbot, has filed a lawsuit against streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed. The legal action follows a September livestream where the creator allegedly inflicted “irreparable damage” upon the robot during an encounter.

Creator IShowSpeed sued for allegedly punching, choking viral humanoid Rizzbot

The petition, filed in November, names Watkins, his management firm Mixed Management, and an additional producer as defendants. According to the court documents, the incident resulted in the “total loss” of the robot’s functionality, with the plaintiff’s legal team seeking compensation for both physical damages and lost business opportunities.

Allegations of Physical Destruction

The lawsuit details a series of actions captured on the livestream video, which the plaintiff’s attorney, Joel Levine, describes as a clear record of the events. The petition alleges that Watkins:

  • Repeatedly punched the robot in the face.
  • Applied a chokehold to the device.
  • Pinned the robot to a couch before throwing it to the floor.

The aftermath, according to the filing, left Rizzbot with severe mechanical failures. The robot’s neck and mouth sustained significant damage, while internal systems—including head cameras and sensors located behind the neck—ceased to function. Consequently, the unit became unstable and lost the ability to walk properly.

Financial and Operational Impact

Beyond the physical destruction, the legal filing highlights the economic toll on the Social Robotics team. Before the incident, Rizzbot had established strong momentum, amassing over 800 million views across social media. The lawsuit notes that the destruction forced the cancellation of high-profile appearances, including planned collaborations with MrBeast and CBS’s The NFL Today.

The financial impact has been stark. The petition claims that in the 28 days following the livestream, Rizzbot experienced a viewership decline exceeding 70% because it was unable to produce new content. Comparing the lost opportunity of a MrBeast production to a Super Bowl commercial, the filing argues that the “intentional destruction” caused permanent financial harm in the fast-paced world of viral media.

Police Involvement and Current Status

Law enforcement was called to the scene in Austin following the altercation. A police report corroborated the damage, noting that the destruction occurred without the owner’s consent. While the investigation remains ongoing, Joel Levine stated that the lawsuit was initiated only after attempts to reach a compensation agreement with Watkins’ team proved unsuccessful.

For its part, Rizzbot—which maintains a persona known for comedic roasting—indicated that it has been forced to acquire an entirely new body to return to operation. In a statement, the entity quipped that while its original Nike sneakers and cowboy hat remain, the rest of its hardware has been replaced as it prepares for future television appearances and improved movement capabilities.

Watkins’ management team has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the litigation.
