By comparison, the U.S. market accounted for roughly 2 million downloads. Daily active users in India grew by 3.4% during the launch period, signaling sustained, albeit measured, interest.
OpenAI notes that the utility of the tool in India leans heavily toward personal expression. Users are moving beyond functional tasks, instead utilizing the software to generate:
