Peacock Overhauls Mobile App With AI and Short-Form Video
Peacock is aggressively pivoting its mobile strategy to mirror the engagement loops of social media platforms, integrating generative AI and vertical-first content to capture more screen time. The streamer revealed a suite of updates this week, ranging from personalized reality TV playlists to live sports broadcasts optimized for phone displays.
The centerpiece of this update is “Your Bravoverse,” a feature tailored for fans of the Bravo network. By leveraging computer vision and AI agents trained on viewer preferences, the platform stitches together clips from over 5,000 hours of footage. This experience is curated by a generative AI avatar of Andy Cohen, who guides users through storylines and suggests new content.

According to internal data, Bravo fans are among the platform’s most engaged users, with some watching up to 75 episodes per month. Peacock claims the AI system behind “Your Bravoverse” can generate more than 600 billion unique viewing variations. The feature is slated for a mobile release this summer, with support for living room devices expected to follow.
Innovations in Live Sports and Gaming
Beyond reality television, Peacock is applying AI to live sports. Starting this spring, the app will introduce vertical-format NBA broadcasts in beta. This feature will integrate with Courtside Live, utilizing real-time AI cropping to adapt broadcast feeds for mobile screens.

The platform is also expanding its gaming catalog. New additions include:
- Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye: Mystery titles developed by Wolf Games, an AI-focused startup co-founded by Elliot Wolf.
- Jeopardy!: A new daily trivia integration.

Financial Context
These initiatives arrive as Peacock attempts to bridge the gap between its subscriber growth and profitability. While the platform reached 44 million subscribers, it reported a $552 million loss in Q4 2025. By shifting toward an interactive, multi-format experience, Peacock is positioning itself to better compete with social media platforms for the attention of mobile users.
