CONTEUDO:
The AI-driven design platform Picsart is shifting its business model by introducing a creator monetization program. Unlike many social platforms that gate earnings behind subscriber counts or specific tiers, this new initiative is open to the entire user base without requiring an invite or a minimum audience size.
The program shifts the focus from vanity metrics like follower counts to the actual performance and creative effort behind the content. Participants are tasked with using the platform’s suite of tools to produce original assets for specific campaigns, which are then shared across their personal social media channels such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube.

How the Earning Process Works
Creators access a dedicated dashboard that lists active prompts and creative challenges. For example, a campaign might incentivize the generation of specific visual themes using Picsart Aura, the platform’s conversational AI assistant capable of creating and animating images or videos via text and voice prompts.
To receive compensation, creators must:
- Submit the URL of their live social media post via a short form.
- Ensure the content is appropriately tagged per campaign requirements.
- Provide a brief explanation of the creation process within Picsart.
The platform stresses that raw, low-effort AI generation will not yield results. Earnings are calculated based on engagement metrics, including comments, shares, reach, and total views. Payouts are managed through Stripe, with real-time tracking available within the user dashboard.
Strategic Shift for the Platform
Picsart founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan positioned the move as a direct response to the “structural problem” within the creator economy. “Platforms have never truly committed to compensating everyday creators,” Avoyan said. “Earn with Picsart is our commitment to the millions who have made this community what it is. It’s open, structured, and straightforward — show up, make things, and if your content performs, you get paid.”
This monetization push follows the company’s recent announcement of an AI agent marketplace, designed to help users automate tasks such as product photo editing for Shopify or remixing social media content. Founded in 2011 and achieving unicorn status in 2021, Picsart currently serves over 130 million users worldwide.
