Snapchat+ Hits 25M Subscribers, Driving $1B Revenue Milestone
Snap Inc. has officially reached a significant financial milestone, announcing that its direct revenue business has achieved a $1 billion annualized revenue run rate. This growth is primarily fueled by the rapid expansion of Snapchat+, which has now surpassed 25 million total subscribers.

Since its introduction in 2022, the platform’s premium service has evolved from an early-access program into a core pillar of the company’s financial strategy. By offering exclusive and pre-release features for $3.99 per month, Snap has successfully built a consumer subscription model that complements its traditional advertising business.
Diversification of Paid Tiers
To sustain momentum, the company has aggressively expanded its subscription ecosystem over the past year. The current lineup of paid offerings includes:
- Standard Snapchat+: The foundational tier priced at $3.99 monthly.
- Lens+: Launched last June for $8.99 per month, providing access to exclusive Augmented Reality experiences and Lenses.
- Platinum: Introduced in early 2025, this ad-free tier costs $15.99 per month.
- Storage Plans: Following a shift in its Memories storage policy, the company now offers a $1.99 monthly plan for extra space. Snapchat+ users receive 250GB of storage, while Platinum subscribers are granted 5TB.
In a blog post, the company noted that Snapchat+ has become one of the fastest-growing consumer subscription services worldwide, consistently posting growth each quarter.
Expanding into Creator Monetization
Beyond its own premium tiers, Snap is now testing creator subscriptions in an alpha phase within the United States. This feature allows users to subscribe directly to creators, including Jeremiah Brown, Harry Jowsey, and Skai Jackson.
Creators participating in this pilot have the autonomy to set their own monthly pricing. Benefits for these individual subscriptions include access to exclusive content, priority replies on public Stories, and an ad-free viewing experience for the creator’s content.
As Snap continues to prioritize community-driven features and customization, the success of these initiatives highlights a broader industry trend. Competitors like Meta are also exploring similar models, with plans to test subscriptions that grant access to exclusive features across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
