Webflow Acquires Vidoso to Expand AI Marketing Tools
Webflow is expanding its marketing capabilities through the acquisition of Vidoso, an AI-powered content generation platform. The move signals a strategic shift for the website-building giant as it seeks to evolve into an “agentic marketing platform” capable of managing the full lifecycle of digital content.

Founded in 2024, Vidoso specializes in using large language models to automate the production of marketing assets. Its technology can convert complex inputs, such as keynote presentations or panel discussions, into diverse formats including blog posts, social media content, images, and short-form video clips.
Integrating AI into Enterprise Workflows
As part of the deal, the four-person Vidoso team will transition to full-time roles at Webflow. While the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, PitchBook data indicates that Vidoso had previously secured $3.7 million in funding from investors including Tau Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and Aspenwood Ventures.
Sharad Verma, CEO of Vidoso, emphasized that the platform was designed to address a critical flaw in existing AI tools: the lack of brand alignment. “Frontier models are trained on the average of the internet, not on the specifics of your brand,” Verma stated. “The first wave of AI gave marketing teams powerful-but-ungoverned AI that is capable of generating generic content, but is blind to brand systems, rules, templates, and the approval workflows that keep enterprise marketing coherent.”
A Shift Toward Agentic Marketing
Webflow CEO Linda Tong views the acquisition as a pivotal moment for the company’s identity. Historically recognized as a content management system (CMS) and website builder, Webflow is now positioning itself to bridge the gaps between disparate marketing functions like product marketing, brand strategy, and demand generation.
Tong argues that current marketing workflows are often fragmented, leading to inefficiencies. By consolidating these processes, Webflow aims to create a self-learning environment. “If you’re just creating a bunch of assets and deploying them, you now need to capture insights, analyze it yourself and then put it back into the learning system,” Tong explained. “Within Webflow, you get that full cycle.”
Strengthening the Marketing Suite
The integration of Vidoso is the latest step in a multi-year effort by Webflow to broaden its utility beyond basic web development. The company’s recent activity includes:
- The 2024 acquisition of website personalization startup Intellimize.
- The launch of a Google Ads integration earlier this year to improve performance tracking.
With over $330 million in total funding, Webflow faces stiff competition from both specialized AI startups and integrated tools offered by major technology firms. However, leadership remains confident that the ability to unify creation, management, and performance tracking under one roof will be a significant draw for enterprise customers.
