Apple Unveils Creator Studio Bundle for $12.99 Monthly

Apple is consolidating its professional creative software suite into a single subscription service dubbed “Creator Studio.” Starting January 28, users can access a comprehensive library of video, audio, and design tools for $12.99 per month or $129 annually.
The bundle provides access to six core applications across Mac and iPad platforms, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. Additionally, the subscription covers Motion, Compressor, and MainStage for Mac users. Educators and college students receive a significant discount, with the service priced at $2.99 monthly or $29.99 per year. Apple is also offering a one-month free trial for all new subscribers.
New Capabilities for Creative Workflows
The launch coincides with a broad update to the included software. Final Cut Pro is gaining AI-powered features such as Transcript Search for soundbite retrieval, Visual Search for locating specific moments, and automated Beat Detection. iPad users specifically will benefit from the new Montage Maker for rapid editing and Auto Crop tools.
Logic Pro receives a suite of enhancements, including Chord ID, Synth Player, and a refreshed sound library, while Pixelmator Pro—which Apple acquired in 2024—makes its debut on the iPad with full Apple Pencil integration.
“Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills by providing easy access to the most powerful and intuitive tools for video editing, music making, creative imaging, and visual productivity — all leveled up with advanced intelligent tools to augment and accelerate workflows,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, in a press release.
Enhanced Productivity Tools
Beyond the professional software, the bundle integrates premium assets into Apple’s iWork suite. Subscribers gain entry to a “Content Hub” within Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, featuring high-quality illustrations and graphics. Keynote and Numbers are also receiving exclusive beta features:
- Keynote: Automated generation of presentation drafts from text outlines and AI-assisted layout refinement.
- Numbers: Magic Fill, which uses pattern recognition to automate table population and formula generation.
Apple confirmed that the individual apps will remain available for one-time purchase via the Mac App Store, and the standard free versions of Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Freeform will continue to be accessible to all users. Future updates to the bundle are expected to include Freeform for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
