CONTEUDO:
The design platform Picsart is expanding its AI capabilities with the launch of a new agent marketplace. This feature allows content creators and social media managers to “hire” AI assistants designed to handle specific technical workflows, ranging from batch photo editing to Shopify product optimization.
With a user base exceeding 130 million, largely composed of Gen Z creators, Picsart is positioning these agents as a solution to the manual labor often required in digital production. The company, which achieved unicorn status in 2021, aims to transition creators from being sole operators of every task to becoming high-level directors of their own content workflows.
“Creators have been stuck as the operator of every workflow — the one doing, not deciding,” said Hovhannes Avoyan, founder and CEO of Picsart. “Our Agents change that relationship — you set direction, the agent builds a plan using real data, you approve, it executes.”

Initial AI Agent Capabilities
Picsart is debuting the marketplace with four specialized agents, with plans to introduce additional options on a weekly basis:
- Flair: Integrates with Shopify to analyze store data and suggest visual improvements. Future updates will include A/B testing and performance insights for product listings.
- Resize Pro: Adjusts media for various platform dimensions, using generative AI to extend frames when necessary to maintain composition.
- Remix: Applies specific stylistic themes, such as “vintage film” or “cyberpunk,” to existing image libraries.
- Swap: Automates bulk background changes for photo collections.
To ensure accessibility, the platform is integrating these agents with messaging services like WhatsApp and Telegram. “As agents extend to messaging apps creators already use, that conversation happens anywhere — at your desk or from the subway,” Avoyan noted.

Safety and Pricing
To mitigate risks associated with LLM-based hallucinations or unauthorized actions, Picsart has implemented “autonomy levels.” This system allows creators to set permissions, requiring manual approval before an agent executes a task. The company believes this structure makes these tools less susceptible to the prompt injection issues seen in more public-facing AI models.
While Picsart maintains a free tier with limited weekly AI credits, the agent marketplace is primarily targeted at users with premium subscriptions. These paid plans start at approximately $10 per month when billed on an annual basis.
